Webinar Alert! Getting started with Web accessibility
Ciao is proud to partner with the Société des Musées du Québec to present an introductory workshop on web accessibility.
This 2-hour online webinar introduce the principles of web accessibility.
Cynthia, our Head of Accessibility and Inclusive Design, will cover the following topics:
- Introduction to Web Accessibility: Why and for whom?
- Standards and general accessibility principles.
- How to implement accessibility in your web properties.
- How to validate web accessibility: Using a screen reader and other tools to understand the experience of visitors with disabilities.
The Société des Musées du Québec is committed to offering an inclusive experience, both in physical and digital spaces.
Museums are often at the forefront of physical accessibility. More and more museums are offering tactile versions of artworks, such as the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, which provides a tactile version of the classic The Birth of Venus for blind visitors as part of its tactile museum tour.
Museums, both large and small, benefit from offering an inclusive web experience, making cultural heritage more accessible to people with disabilities.
This training is offered for free by the Société des Musées du Québec! Register here.
* Please note this webinar is held in French.
