# Happy new year!

In a hybrid work environment, these in-person moments of connection are especially valuable — rare, yet essential opportunities to reconnect, exchange ideas, and strengthen our team bonds.  

It was also a time to celebrate our achievements and acknowledge the challenges we've overcome over the past months. A year ago, around this same time, many of us looked at our annual goals with a sense of uncertainty. Today, we’re proud to say that not only did we meet those goals — we exceeded them.

During this meeting, we also explored ways to better support our team’s professional development. We chose a hands-on, collaborative approach: giving everyone the chance to work on proof-of-concept projects or internal initiatives, allowing them to build and apply their skills in a meaningful and practical context. 

A common challenge in professional services — like those offered by the Inclusive Digital Studio — is that our capacity to experiment is often limited by our clients’ risk tolerance. And that’s completely understandable: clients want their projects to be safe and predictable. With that in mind, we created four thematic teams focused on key areas: development, project management, analysis, and accessibility. This is a great opportunity for team members who aren’t yet specialized in a particular field to broaden their horizons, explore new roles, and gain a deeper understanding of our collective work. For example, a software developer might be interested in learning more about project management or functional analysis — and that’s exactly what these cross-learning groups are designed to offer.
